The first step was to make the board foundation. I wanted a sewer level beneath panels of cobblestone street to help give the board an extra sense of verticality.

The board was braced underneath. Pegs were added with velcro on top to support and secure the interchangeable street-level panels above the sewer.

Minimal permanent rocky wall elements were added to the sewer level; most of the decorative elements would come from scatter terrain for maximum customizability. Wanted a dungeon crawler feel.

The entire horizontal surface of the sewer level was covered with Hirst molds dental plaster stone flooring. It took about a week to cast them all.

The sewer level was given some color, texture, debris, and resin to bring it to life.

I used Apoxie and a cobblestone roller to make the surface panels look like the streets of Mordheim
