CARRION HOUNDS
The gift that keeps on giving
The Carrion Hounds, a warband of the fallen 14th legion, have an overarching objective…. turning all of humanity into a shambling horde of infectious undead.
They are particularly interested in collecting more notable victims of the walking pox to display as a collection of macabre puppets to entertain themselves and their deity, Nurgle.
Over thousands of years the Carrion Hounds have amassed droves of pox walkers whom they often use as front line shields that allow their plague marines and daemon engines to advance unhindered from small arms fire.
Once the tide of undead has come in contact with their adversaries, their numbers swell as they too become infected with the blessings of Nurgle.
It is not uncommon to see their traitor primarch, Mortarion, on the battlefield with them, as they are dedicated followers of Nurgle and often times are the tip of the spear in Mortarions plans to destroy imperial forces.
Mortarion often supplies them with newly improved daemon engines that he has created to smite the foes of Nurgle.
